Jeff Hanesworth began Mountain Standard Homes in Fort Collins, Colorado, in 2016 as a natural career evolution that combined his 26-year construction and real estate background with his deep-rooted interest in home design. Inspired by the surrounding Rocky Mountains, Mountain Standard Homes specializes in modern mountain living with high-end, quality finishes that balance luxury and affordability.
The Little Branch Townhomes are the result of a longstanding partnership between Mountain Standard Homes and local architecture firm Red Pencil. Working hand-in-hand to bring Hanesworth’s creative concept to life, this project marks Mountain Standard Home’s first time applying its signature Modern Farmhouse style to a multifamily build.
Hanesworth selected LP® SmartSide® Vertical Board and Batten, LP® SmartSide® Horizontal Lap, LP® SmartSide® Soffit and LP® SmartSide® Trim & Fascia to bring the contemporary farmhouse design to life. This combination of products blends defined lines and bold colors to create a cohesive look for a truly modern townhome feel.
“Because of their integrity and quality, I only use LP SmartSide siding products. I’m cognizant of not just the aesthetic of our builds, but the longevity. I want my customers to be happy indefinitely—not just for the first year until the builder warranty runs out. LP SmartSide siding products offer that peace of mind.”
The LP® SmartSide® Advantage
Hanesworth elaborates on the “peace of mind” factor, highlighting LP SmartSide trim and siding products’ durability to withstand unique weather conditions specific to a wide variety of geographical regions. “We live in an area of Colorado that’s extremely susceptible to wind, hail, dryness and sun intensity, and I’ve seen firsthand how LP SmartSide materials weather them all,” he says. “I ultimately want to preserve my business’s legacy for my family, and this product helps me do that by ensuring our builds, both single-home and multifamily alike, will continue to look like new for years to come.”
