He Shed, She Shed, Episode 4: "Green Acres Goes Pink"

LP is pleased to support the FYI Television Network’s exciting new DIY design series, He Shed She Shed! What used to be a simple outbuilding is now fast becoming a way for homeowners to express creativity and to fill the need for a practical space missing from their traditional home. Every episode of He Shed She Shed features fun and unique ways to customize and use outdoor sheds. On the April 23rd episode, hosts Luke Barr and Sarah Ferrell head down to the farm to help two homeowners create their own pastoral paradise from an outdoor shed constructed with LP® Outdoor Building Solutions® materials.

Gregg’s Saloon Shed

In the Sierra Mountains of California, Gregg wants to create a country hang-out that features a rodeo-themed Old West look to complement the 5,000-acre cattle ranch that he and his buddies own. In the huge 1,600-square-foot shed, Gregg and his friends envision using their $40,000 budget to create a saloon bar, a relaxing lounge area and turn-of-the-century western décor. Since all the guys have construction experience, Luke puts them to work building a bar from recycled wood and materials found on the ranch. Bar stools made of saddles add a distinctive western look. Additional seating, a pool table, a bar-style shuffleboard and a fireplace give the guys plenty of room to play, and a mechanical bull turns this he-shed into a real rodeo.

Susan’s Chic Pink Escape

Sarah heads to rural Pennsylvania, where city girl Susan wants a fabulous she-shed that will give her a cosmopolitan escape from her farm life and a place her friends will want to come visit. To make it a glamorous and girly oasis, Sarah covers the walls in pink and adds a kitchenette and manicure area, luxurious finishes and delicate details such as blinged-out walls and a crystal chandelier. A unique geometric pattern painted on the floor adds dimension to the space, and chic custom-built bunk beds give Susan a place for her girlfriends to sleep when they visit from the city.
